99 Jeep Cherokee leaking fluids?
I noticed my Jeep was leaking first a pinkish/rusty color fluid out the middle/front. Then I see yellowish/rusty color too, on my driveway & inside engine a little. Its a lot of fluid that came out, my hubby looked & thinks it may be a hose. But I am worried it could be more costly, like a whole radiator? We put anitfreeze in it a year ago that was pink. I am really worried this could be a huge cost, my jeep has about 95k on it right now, we had it in the shop in may for a routine check & nothing was wrong with it.
Any ideas?
I know its coolant, because its a sweet smell. Duh-I am taking it to a repair shop, buy my mechanic can't get me in until Monday, so I don't have a car until then. I was just wondering if it could be as simple as a cracked hose, or if its something worse, like a new radiator.

you need to have the system pressure tested its easy to do if you have the tester if you bring it in to just have it tested it should not cost much and you will know whats going on.

Smell the fluid. If it smells sort of fishy, it is likely radiator fluid. Check the fluid levels. Radiator repair is not too costly. At most you will be looking at a new radiator and probably $200 total for radiator and labor. More than likely, your radiator is leaking around a seal at one of the hoses and should not cost more than $75 to $125 to fix, depending on where the leak is and how long it takes to repair it.
