what is bulimba, brisbane like to live in or just generally?
I have heard it is a really nice and relaxed place to live.

It has become a very expensive suburb to live in now that the yuppies have started to move in. It used to be a quiet place that you could go to the pub and have a drink and a counter meal then go and see a movie all without dealing with crowds of people. Not now you'd probably get run over by half a dozen tools in their BMW's or Hummers and then get in trouble for getting their tyres dirty

Bulimba is a really nice place and is rapidly coming up in the world. There are some very nice houses and quite a few worker's cottages that are either being renovated now, or will be before long and on the river, there are a number of magnificent multi-million $$ homes. Oxford Street is full of great cafes and restaurants and is one of 'the' places to go on the southside. It has one of the best bookshops in Brisbane, a decent pub and there's an excellent (and very cheap) multiscreen cinema there too.
You can drive to the city in 15 minutes or so at most times; there's a CityCat stop at the end of Oxford Street and the suburb is handy to the Gateway Freeway without being affected by traffic and noise.
Great place.

Bulimba is a pretty run down suburb. It's also an older area in Brisbane. Though, those that live in Bulimba think it's the best place in the world.
