Didn't see that you wanted no adapters, what PS2 do you have? The Slim? If so the slim has a port in the back for your internet cable to go into, then it should connect. If it's the older model of the PS2 you will have to purchase a network adapter that will allow the chord to go in. It connects to the back, price shouldn't be too high anymore.

or if you want to use an adapter

Regular USB hook ups wont work. But you can buy a wireless gaming network adapter. I've personally never used one, so check the reviews. Your connection wont be as fast as a line connection but depending on your internet speed it should be pretty good. Make sure you have a router for your internet connection too otherwise wireless will be useless. Here's one, but there are other brands. I know walmart has one in their electronics section. Most do at least.

You cannot access the internet with a PS2, there is no browser software on it.

You can play a few games online, but only if the game supports it. and you will need a network adaptor (built in on Slimline PS2, or an addon for older PS2s) the network access software (available from sony by sending the card that comes with either the slimline PS2 or the network adaptor hardware)
