Newcastle United and History. What History?
Why are NU fans always banging on about how good the fans are and their great history. What history?
As far as I can see they won the top division once in 1927 and a bit better in the FA Cup but no win since 1955. Hardly the record of a great club and definatel a fickle fan base.

just checked the records and newcastle have won a total of 12 trophies this places them eighth in number of trophies won liverpool(58) man utd(53) arsenal (39) everton (24) aston villa(22) totenham (24) and chelsea (17) are the only teams to have won more where this idea that preston wolves and bolton comes from ive no idea. not sure i would say they have a better history then other clubs but they have won more then you gave them credit for and if you wanna make a point you should deal in facts.

newcastle have won the league 4 times not just once as you lied. 1905, 1907,1909 and 1927 they have also won the FA cup 6 times (this gives them more trophies then bolton, wolves or preston) and the uefa/fairs cup on one occasion in 1969. that said all clubs have a history regardless of wheter they have won anything or not.

Alan Shearer. I am glad he retired when he did because I think over the last couple of years he became quite a dirty player. He was very fond of using his elbow. However because of who he was referees seldom took any action against him. In his prime he was superb not only for Newcastle but for England. Modern day centre forwards are not a patch on Shearer. He is now coming along quite nicely as a soccer pundit. Good luck to him.

you have your facts wrong as pointed below. and since when did winning mean history.? nufc fans had reputation always as fiercely loyal to the club. they have had a bad time of it, and no wonder they were moaning - imagine if this was one of the big 4. i feel really sorry for the fans - get wise out.hope you get new owner and manager soon.
i am chelsea supporter.

They have very little history. Interestingly, Sunderland have quite a long and glorious history. They also won the FA Cup in 1972 - 17 years after Newcastle won anything.
Other teams who have won more than Newcastle include Preston, Wolves and Bolton. Funny how their fans don't go on and on about how "big" their clubs are.

They have a huge history in under-achieving. If they get relegated this season how are they meant to under-achieve in the premier league?

This is why: " http://premierleagues.info/index.php " Because they haven't been there. Because if they have been there they would have every single bit of information you could ever find on the subject. Look for yourself and you will see.
