Do you believe outer space aliens exist?
I do not think we're alone in the universe. Any human claiming we are the Chosen Humanity created to rule the entire universe is a complete religious moron. Just because we haven't made contact with them doesn't mean they're already here. They can have advanced stealth capabilities that are beyond our tech. People hear stories all the time about alien abductions but they got to see it to believe it. Or else it's just hear-say rumors. But I refuse to believe we're totally alone in the universe, it's just too big. Do you think it's a good idea to contact aliens? Do you think they will be hostile or friendly?

I believe in the POSSIBILITY of aliens.
But the belief that there HAVE to be aliens so we can just assume it as true without even attempting to prove it is unscientific.
Your refusal to consider the alternative that we are alone is unscientific. Any refusal to consider alternative explanations that fit the data is unscientific. Us being alone in the universe fits the data available now. When new data rules that out I will change my belief from thinking that aliens POSSIBLY existing to that they ACTUALLY exist.
And I do think it is unlikely we are alone. Unlikely, but not impossible.

It's quite likely that there is other life in the universe, and not unreasonable to suppose that some of it has been, is, or will be suitably intelligent.
But the best explanation for the lack of alien visitation is simply that whatever aliens may exist have not yet visited Earth. The best explanation, parsimoniously speaking, is *not* that they are here and somehow "stealthy," or that they somehow look just like humans.
There is a segment of the human population, however, that seems to have decided ahead of time to believe in alien visitation. They try to attribute this or that occurrence to aliens, even though they can't provide any evidence that the alleged aliens were the cause. That speculation isn't necessarily harmful. But then they pile on all these conspiracy theories about how the government is hiding evidence of aliens, and that people who dispute the alien-involvement theories are despicable "debunkers" with ideological motivation. They act to protect their cherished beliefs, not evaluate the evidence dispassionately.
In other words, general belief in aliens is reasonably supportable, but don't go overboard with it.

Well, as far as Stephen Hawking knows, the universe is infinite and ever expanding. I believe we are stupid to think we are the only "life" in the universe. It is 1 billion x 1 billion to the billionth power mathematically that there is a chance of life. But then again 1 billion isn't the biggest number we can come up with. I think it would be interesting to contact aliens and see what they have as a culture and if they have ethnicity's or anything remotely similar. Some "aliens" may simply be animal like or just simple unicellular organisms. I think that if we ever do find life, it could be peaceful and just as curious as we are.

Just the mathematics of the number of galaxies times the number of stars in each, times the number of planets orbiting those stars would make it almost impossible for this planet to be the only one with life on it. The types and intelligence of those lifeforms would be a mystery. As far as contact is concerned, what makes you think that we haven't had contact already. Many people say that some of the major scientific advances that happened in the early 1950's were the results of the Roswell NM crash. If there were a technologically advanced culture that wanted to hurt us, I doubt there would be much we could do about it. It would be similar to the USA attacking a lost tribe in the Amazon Jungle, they would resist but it wouldn't help for long.

We should be the greatest idiots in the Universe if we believe we are the only 'intelligent' beings in it. The Universe is so vast and outspread that not one but many many human like species may be living elsewhere.
However, we are pessimistic in imagining that they are also afraid of aliens as we are. Why can not they be more advanced not only in their scientific pursuits and capabilities but also in advancements in their very thinking? Why can they not try to be-friend an alien community?
Why can not they come and open their treasure of knowledge to us and thus make us better human beings who will not fight with each other but become 'human' by living better and letting others live better.
Mind you, this is not only probable, but entirely possible

We are not alone in the universe. for sure..
why?
Forget all calculations about possibilities etc etc, WE are the evidence of that live is capable to arise in THIS universe. How much prove does one need.
If everything happens within the same timeframe as that we humans have, is a complete other question, complete generations 'aliens' may have lived on other planets without us ever finding out. Simply because they could not survive (dinosaurs on earth!!).
You don't need to ask yourself if life is out there... Simply ask yourself the question when will they visit us, or perhaps when will we visit them!!!...
Then you will find out if they are hostile or friendly ;)

Okay, I am not a crazy, I am a normal girl, but I swear to you when I was about 4 I saw an alien.
I was laying in my bed and rolled over and saw a small 2 foot man standing by my bed. He was very think, had no face and was glowing neon yellow. He never moved or said anything.
Now to me, it is insane to think in entire universe we are the only living beings. As far as contacting them... that's scares the crap out of me! I don't know why, i guess i have watched too many scary movies. As scary as it would be, it would be very interesting.
PS- what about area 51?

The universe is SO BIG we will most likely never know the answer to this question. It takes years to reach another planet in our own solar system. And around every star is a solar system. There are millions of stars in our own galaxy, and there are more galaxies in the universe then there are stars in our galaxy. So think of all those planets around all those stars. You never know on the other side of the universe or even as short a distance away as the other side of our own galaxy it could be like Star Wars over there. It is almost to much to think about. IT is hard to comprehend but anyways my answer is YES.

On yet another conspiracy theory. I have no idea if there was an additional purpose for the pyramids beyond the immense egos of specific men. I believe in beings living on other planets within the universe, it made me less afraid of the dark as a child to think there were other children on other planets
