symptoms: weight gain, fatigue, headaches?

for about a year or so ive been increasingly tired and have had approximately 5-6 headaches (atleast) a week. i had been slowly gaining weight and have recently reached a high weight (135 5'1") and have been unable to lose weight regardless of my restriction (1000-1200 cals) and exercise.

recently my hair has also began to change from very tight curls to little wave. im also sick for extended periods of time (1-2 months at a time with no let up)

i also tend to be depressed (not seriously, it has become better over hte years)

the only medication i am on is the depo provera bc shot.

i am 21 years old and i know that hair changes every 7 years or so - but i believe it to be something more serious.

ive looked up hypothyroidism but it doesnt seem to fit super well, is it possibly this or is there something else i should be worried about?

of course im going to the dr. but last time i went he gave me allergy pills and sent me on my way, im worried its something more serious.

thank you for your help!

I think you should go to your doctor like you said you are going to do and be as honest with him or her as you have been in this question with me, it does not sound good and you yourself sound very worried so go and talk hopefully it should be resvoled very soon and you be back to your normal healthy happy self

Hypothyroidism, or low thyroid function, is a silent epidemic, according to many functional medicine doctors. How to cure hypothyroidism naturally https://tr.im/Gd6du

People can suffer for years with symptoms that our conventional medical system frequently doesn’t know how to treat because complaints seem scattered or vague and often there is no pill for the ill(s).

What’s worse, in most cases, hypothyroidism isn’t rooted in a thyroid problem in the first place. It’s rooted in an immune system gone awry, but most doctors don’t test for the antibodies that show the presence of autoimmunity.

As someone in the medical field for over 12 years, I would recommend an appointment with your doctor and ask for blood test including Thyroid and Epstein Barr. Both of these can cause these symptoms as can several others. You can check WebMD.com for further information too. This is one of the best site to get medical information although it is no substitute for a doctor or their advice. Good luck!

Sounds like thyroid, a lot of doctors miss. Have to go to an Endocrinologist, blood doctor for various things. Cholesterol, which is

a big one. Tells everything, mines Doctor Leach.

Thyroid, weight gain, hair thins, joints, eyes, no ambition. This is

serious, effects a lot of organs.

    I was diagnosed at eighteen.
