about ps3 and xbox 360 games?

i know that the blu ray sports a whopping 54gb of storage, while the 360's HD dvd only has a little over 8gb of storage. the question is, why does multiplatform games only have one disc? does that mean those games don't use the full 54gb of the blu ray just to cope with the 360's hd dvd? i would be very disappointed since there's alot of storage on the blu ray. and using only 1/5 of the capacity is ridiculous.

    Because you are right,

    Because of the 360,

Multi-plat form games are smaller on the PS3 version.

So if the the 360 uses about 5GBs, the PS3 will be about 5GBs, maybe a bit more for the PS3.

So a lot of room is being wasted..

But exclusive game developers are trying to get the most out of The Blu-Ray.

Xbox 360 video games do seem to have greater helpful titles that sell distinctive copys. seem at Halo 3 case in point. Or Gears of conflict. Xbox 360 video games even have larger fan bases. additionally there are lots of greater video games on 360. distinctive ps3 video games seem to repeat 360 video games. a quick time after GOW got here out Ps3 got here out with there very own little unique noted as Resistance which gave the impression to be some what of an identical ingredient in simple terms set in international conflict II. this would be a problematic question because of fact for sure an Xbox 360 fan will say Xbox 360 has the terrific video games and a Ps3 fan will say Ps3 has the terrific video games. I propose you do slightly study and seem at some recreation comments.

Blu-ray is an absurdly huge storage, but a total money waste. Sony should have used regular DVDs to the PS 3, 54GB of space is kinda exaggerated, just because Microsoft used the HD DVD. Wii uses regular DVDs what makes the price lower. However Blu-ray has some advantages: Good Graphics, lot of space (if used well), Blu-ray player, etc. I think that Sony should put about 3 games in one disc.

You're exactly right, but I have to correct one thing; Microsoft uses regular DVDs, HD-DVD is a dead format.

When it comes to multi-platform games, the Xbox 360 is dragging down the PS3 and not allowing it to be used to it's full potential, since it would be "unfair" if the PS3 version of the same game had more content.

Just imagine how big GTA4 could have been if all 50 GB of the Blu Ray disc were used up instead of cramming it onto a 9 GB DVD.

However, exclusive games like MGS4 truly demonstrate the PS3's power and potential

1st of all its 50GBs for blu-ray and 8.5GBs for DVD. Microsoft doesn't use HD DVD. That was the add on player which is a dead format.

Multiplatform game coming out called, "RAGE" will ship on 2 discs for the XBOX 360 version and 1 disc for PS3 version.

games are compressed to fit, and uncompressed while playing, this means you get longer load times with 360 because it has to uncompressed the data
