go to your messenger look for delete buddy or contact

If you wish to delete a contact:First right click on their icon, scroll down to stealth settings and change them so that you appear permanently offline. Then click on messenger, top left on the messenger window , scroll down to preferences, click and scroll down to ignore list, click and in the next window add them to your ignore list and click o.k. Then go back right click on their icon and delete them. This way they are history

what name, yours or someone elses?? If it's someone on your friends list then just right click on the name and down towards the bottom of the drop down menu click on delete.
If it's your name , which name is it , your real name , a nickname, your main ID ??
When you ask a question you have to be more specific and give as many details as possible. We can't read minds here!!
