THIS NEEDS AN EXPERT! Hope someone can help?
I have an iextreme Packard Bell PC, using XP as it's OS. I downloaded Spy-bot S&D which required a restart. On restarting, the PC shut down with the following message: 'PROBLEM CAUSED BY FOLLOWING FILE: BEEP.SYS PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA STOP: 0x00000050 (0x81000078,0x00000000,0xF89F62FF, 0x00000000) BEEP.SYS ADDRESS F89F62FF BASE AT F89F5000 DATESTAMP 43d397f5.
It advised starting in safe mode, but this makes no difference. I have tried to do recovery in F11, but the F11 key is doing nothing despite Bios saying it should be active. No matter what I do the thing keeps shutting down within seconds of my desktop appearing. The only way in seems to be through F8 Boot in safe mode Administrator, but I don't know what to enter. I don't have a XP disc or backup disc.
Is there a genius out there with an answer??

if you are able to start in safe mode goto add remove progs and uninstall spybot it sounds like you have a program conflict and removing spybot is the only solution to correcting your problem.
if your pc wont start in safe mode. using your XP cd or recovery cd (if you have one) to restore your pc may help

Dude I pity you, and am sure it you time to have those architectural errorrs put on this page.
However, I suspect that your computer has been badly infected. Perhaps try to reset the BIOS or do a system restore in safe mode. If those fails, dont bother aboout those decodes just hook out you HDD, hook it to another computer, copy your files and reinstall Windows.
That should do with no trouble.
All the best.
