Does anyone know of a brain specialist dealing with anxiety related illness?
I have been down the prescription drugs, along with their many side effects and also am currently trying herbal rememdiesfor anxiety, panic and phobic complaints, but thought that if the drugs target the parts of the brain affected, would surgery help ? I am interested in anyone doing research if anyone knows someone or some institute, i would be very grateful.

i really want to help you, i have high anxiety, i have suffered for many years. if there was such a surgery, let me know. i tried many pills and remedies just like you, and my life is still altered because of this mental fear.
i have a book about natural prescription healing.
it says to supplement
calcium--2,000mg> a natural tranquilizer
magnesium--up to 1,000mg> helps relieve anxiety, tension, and spasms. take with above.
floradix>is a natural iron. check for iron deficiency; can increase risk of panic attacks.
vitamin B complex>helps maintain normal nervous functions
plus,
B1> calming effect on nerves and reduces anxiety.
B6> known energizer that also exerts a calming effect.
Niacinamide--100mg 3 times a day> important in the production of certain brain chemicals. in large doses, has a calming effect.
caution: do not sub. niacin for niacinamide.
these are a few guide lines to maybe brighten your day, there is no cure for our disorder, only a changed life style will improve your out come.
i hope these can help you, natural herbs may be the way to go, and i dont beleive there will be any side effects to this. good luck.

There is no surgery for mental health issues, a Dr that deals with the brain is called a neurologist. However it sounds like you need a psychiatrist.

i,ve been there these attacks can be beaten but you must be prepared to fight i had them for 10 years but during that time i realised quiet by accident what breaks there controll i decided i could not be a prisoner in the house so went out & got an attack which scared hell out of me in the process i walked into a pole it hurt but panic attack left so i then knew pain would break its controll so i used that (i.e a broken match which i would stick in and squeeze in the palm of my hand ) i also found that pleasure i.e sex also worked .i.e any strong emotion can break its controll but don't expect it to go away overnight . i am a pro guitarist & singer & have to travel all over get on stage & stand out front to sing you can imagine what dose to me but after a few years when i would feel an attack comming on i could tell myself it is all in the mind & it not come yes i take an odd tablet but very rare
