Ibanez RG2EX1 vs RG5EX1...?
Well I'm planning to buy a new guitar soon and I've narrowed my choice down to these two guitars and I have no idea which to choose. I played both of them at Guitar Center and I loved both of them. The thing is that the RG2EX1 doesn't have a tremolo and the RG5EX1 has a locking one. I don't use the whammy much on my other guitars anyway but with this I would probably start. ANYWAY, so I'm sort of leaning toward the RG5EX1 but first I want to know if the tremolo and the extra center pickup (which I might never even use) are really work the extra $100-150.

Short answer-i have both,plus an RG470. Yes,the RG2EX1 is DEFINITELY worth your extra layout. The centre pick-up is incredibly versatile. I wouldn't part with my Ibanez axes-not for any other guitar i can think of. Nuff said. Go Rock.

i'd get a Fender American made Strat with a maple fretboard... perchance placed a humbucker contained in the bridge position with a coil tap swap. Les Pauls are eye-catching guitars, something to carry on the wall, they're particularly restricted to a distorted humbucker sound or a jazzy sort tones regardless of the reality that... and uncomfortable as hell except you will be status up lugging that heavy mission around the entire time you're preparation. Plus the tone of rosewood fretboards leaves plenty to be wanted in my e book, i love the vivid sounding maple fretboards.
