Do you think Metallica went downhill after Jason left?
O.k. All the way up to their S&M c.d. Metallica was doin awesome. After Jason leaves, they come out with St. Anger. Terrible! I heard that their new c.d. was a bit better, but it still sounds like the junk in St. Anger. Their music now sounds more "punkish" than anything. Does anyone agree? And please, don't say they went downhill on their black album! I've heard it so many times already!

Yes you are right, trujillo is good, but newsted brings a different impact in metallica's song writing.

i don't think of it grew to become into the Newsted leaving subject. i think of it grew to become into sobriety. James is in simple terms "washed up". It sucks to make certain a killer band you grew up with worsen each and every checklist after the Black lp.
