Sea salt vs. table salt?
(Usually you see people wanting to substitute sea salt for table salt, but on the flip side...) If a recipe [say, bread] calls for sea salt, can you substitute in regular sodium chloride (aka table salt) for sea salt? What are the implications?

Sea salt and table salt have the same nutritional value. The real differences between sea salt and table salt are in their taste and texture.
You can measure and use them both the same but I've found that recipes that call for it do taste better with the real thing.

I have sea salts from all over the world and each one has a unique taste. After trying sea salts I no longer use table salt,it has a very bitter taste and it contains iodine. If you do a taste test side by side you will wonder why you ever used table salt to begin with.I would say sea salt must be better for you because it is all natural.I will take my chances with the purity of the ocean that the sea salt came from,as opposed to someone scraping the table salt off the floor of some factory.
