Dance Question?????i'm curious....?

OK.....My friend has been dancing for 10 years and the other day her teacher said something like "I wish I could go back 10 years ago and break you hips"..... I was like What the Heck!? Does anybody know what this means? It doesn't really matter but i'm just curious.... Thanks!!!! ..... I think it allows you to get more flexible or something....

Update:

i meant to say "I wish i could go back 10 years ago and break your hips" As in talking to the students..... she wasn't talking to her own hips...:)

The teacher said this very jokingly. Your friend is probably very close with her, and a very good dancer. It sounds like one downfall is her turnout.

Turnout, in ballet, comes from the hips. It is easier to develop turnout when you are younger, as your bones are not fully grown. When you are fully grown, there is really only so much turnout you can achieve, as the bones are grown and ligaments tighter.

The teacher probably wishes she worked harder with your friend on her turnout when she was younger, as this would translate to good turnout when she is older. You don't have to break bones to get good turnout. This was a joke.

Maybe your friend was better than her teacher so she wants to go back 10 years ago and gonna make her be a bad dancer so which means she was jealous of her dancing..

the single time I watched it, Wayne Newton regarded plenty like Chef Boyardee. So the possibility of Steve-O doing a line of wasabi off his better half's thighs makes for stable television, definite.
