Rafer Alston for Mike Conley?
Would it be a good deal for the rockets to trade Rafer Alston for Mike Conley
The rockets are weak at PG. Conley is young but he is a better passer and ball handler than rafer.
I think it would be good for memphis also
what you think?
I think Conley has alot more potential than rafer

Alston -- more range, more experience, somewhat of a good defender.
The only criticism you can make is that Alston isn't a true PG like Conley, and Alston sometimes holds the ball too long.

no, conley is young, the rockets want to win now. rafer is a proven vet, while conley is still learning the nba game. alston is also better suited for the rockets pg position. the primary playmaker is tmac, not alston. so the pg on the rockets would need to have range on his shooting. tmac is better with the ball in his hands, hes not a great off the ball player, like many superstar wingmen in the league.
conley is a better player and has potential to be much better than alston ever was, but right now the rockets wouldnt want to be dealing with conley while trying to keep artest focused.

No, i'm not agree. You forgot some names, so right it is my checklist... a million.) Chris Paul 2.) Steve Nash 3.) Deron Williams 4.) Mo Williams 12.) Jose Calderon 13.) Derrick Rose 14.) Derek Fisher 15.) Devin Harris sixteen.) Raymond Felton 17.) Rafer Alston 18.) Monta Ellis (he's not a PG) 19.) Rodney Stuckey 20.) TJ Ford 21.) Jordan Farmar (wait a million or 2 years and you will see how stable he's) 22.) Jameer Nelson 23.) Beno Udrih 24.) Chris Duhon 25.) Earl Watson 26.) Steve Blake 27.) Rajon Rondo 28.) Michael Conley JR 29.) Sebastian Telfair 30.) Mario Chalmers --------------------------------------...

No this isnt a good trade at all. Rafer knows how the system works already. Have u seen the rockets the last couple of years when he was out of the lineup, the rockets did'nt do so well.

Well I think it is a bad trade. Since Mike Conley is young player. He still have a lot of developing. He could be a good player when he is develop. Unlike Alston your going to get what you see in him since he is pretty old. Plus Memphis likes young guys because if they try to sell the team. The other owner would like young guys in his team so he could rebuild.
