how does post traumatic stress disorder effect the brain?

i want to know what causes the brain to give you flashbacks, emotional numbness, sleep disturbances, anxiety, intense guilt, depression, irritability, or outbursts of anger. The amygdala is known for its role in emotion, learning, and memory. What are the signals that the amygdala is sending out and to where? I'm sure there is a lot of different parts of the brain that are effected by ptsd

The reason why people with PTSD have all those problems is because the brain is trying to hide the thought of the event that caused the disorder, it's trying to protect itself, if it didn't do these thing we would go mad, all parts of the brain get effected by PTSD, I'm not sure about the details, but I can tell you the basics, when people with PTSD have panic attacks, it is the subconscious part of the brain telling the conscious part that the event is happening again, this causes the person to have a panic attack or something similar. I have had PTSD for 4 years and I have flashbacks every hour or two, I can't show any emotion towards others, I get about three hours of sleep a night, I have the same nightmare every night, I am always nervous and shaking, I am always depressed and only one person can come near me without me freaking out, not that any of what I just said helps, I hope what I said before helps.

    Love, Rozza
