Of course the media is going to hype up the cubs since they have not won it all in 100 years. It gives them a great story to report on and people would be much more interested to see if the cubs can break the streak on the 100th year. I remember the SI cover story this week was about how much of an uproar there would be if the cubs won the world series BEFORE they even threw a pitch.
