what is wrong with my eye? Pink eye?

my left eye will just tear up by itself. I have to constantly wipe it because the tears get in the way. My tear ducts itch if I touch them. I thought I had pink eye however my eye isn't pink.... do you know what is going on?

It sounds very much like a blocked tear duct. Tears from the surface of the eye are normally drained into the nose by a convoluted tube called the nasolacrimal duct. If this duct is blocked, the tears will accumulate and overflow onto the cheek, even when a person isn't crying. You should see a doctor.

Theres a nasal cavity towards the inside of the edge of the eye closest to the nose that drains your tears to avoid the problem you're having. You most likely have that clogged up!

Maybe you have allergies? If the symptoms just started it's possible you could have pink eye. It can sometimes take a day or two for the eye to turn pink. You would also have a lot of...um....goop...in your eye if it were pink eye.

Incredibly bad hayfever. Is possible. Had it happened sorta like that before.

Oh. Also, if you start getting a heavy amount of sleep in your eye and it is infected. Then get salt water, shut your eye and wipe the water along it. Helps amazingly.
