Have you ever seen a house soo nasty that it smelled on the porch?

I was gonna ask if you were being serious but I remember my mother in laws house and grandparents in laws house... We were staying at the grandparents(I refuse to stay at the MIL, due to cleanliness) and I felt so gross and vouldn't even walk in the bathroom it smelled so bad and the shower was so dirty I washed my hair with the hose and gave myself a sponge bath with my soap and paper towels...

I wish we could stay in a hotel but my hubby doesn't want to offend his family, and of course he's ok with the mess so I'm of course the bad guy!

I don't know why people live like that, I think they just don't care or are too lazy, figure people will accept them the way they are, or don't realize their house is a scum bucket.

If roaches or cats had been in the pie tin, I would throw it out and invite everyone out. I actually made rice with my step-mom-in-law one time and a bug got into it, and I threw it out. She kept saying it was ok and wouldn't change the taste but I still threw it out.

I'm not wealthy but I won't let myself or guests get sick/grossed out.

My grandmother's house is like that. She has that disorder where she's afraid to clean or throw things away because she fears she will lose something important. Her house is filled with trash--old newspapers, even sales papers from the 90s! The last time I went in there was over a year ago, and when I stepped inside, there were tiny little bugs crawling on stuff, and I heard rustling in the piles of junk and looked to see MICE and RATS running around everywhere!! Even with my grandmom and me standing right there, the mice were no longer afraid of people. It was disgusting.

Needless to say, my parents made her come live with them, and my mother basically takes care of her. She is a clean person herself (by that I mean she bathes and wears clean clothes).

So now the house is adandoned pretty much, and will probably have to be bull-dozed when my grandmother passes. She still owns the house, but refuses to let me parents clean it or do anything with it.

My grandfather, her ex-husband, is completely opposite. Very clean, good with money, etc....I can see why they got divorced 35 years ago.

Here's a question: Why on earth would you hang around with people like this? And more to the point: why would your girlfriend agree to COOK at this person's house if you know how they live???

Why do people live like that? Either that's how they were raised, they don't know any better or they don't have enough self respect to act differently.

could I serve the pie? Heck NO! I wouldn't even stay long enough for it to be cooked. I'd leave the pie there.

sadly i can say yes. my mother is bipolar. i was taken away from her when i was 8 yrs old. her house has been like you describe for over 22 years. as well as my step grandfathers niece. they begin hoarding everything, newspapers,trash,etc. they will refuse to pay for a trash man to pick up their trash ,they use teh money to buy animal food instead. so tthey bag up the trash and pile it on teh porch, what they dont bag up stays all over their house. i walked into their house 2 years ago and i had to watch my step to avoid cat poop getting on my shoes. there as you said dishes everywhere,old clothes dirty and clean spread all over the house. cats sleeping all over the place, throwing up,pooping,peeing,and having babies anywhere in the house they wanted. my mother has never changed, even after i was taken from her i would expect it to sink it but it never did. she has a husband who is just lik her. he just builds sheds to keep the junk in rather than get rid of it. so far thy have 3 houses on teh same property filled with trash . she leaves opened cat food cans all over her porch which makes you literally gag. i feel terrible. just this past year her house was in th newspaper ,the article said it was a dump yard,they didnt kno someone actually lived there. saying houses like that are a threat to neighbors because of the pollution. i had to email the newspaper to tell them my mother was living there. i was so embarrassed. she hasnt had a job since before i was born and didnt get like she is no until my grandfather died when i was 5. her husban doesnt work either, both on disability,i really do wish there was a way she could be put in a assisted living program for her health, her husband is worthless and drunk most of the time and she really doesnt need him. but i live about 500 miles away from her now with my own family so i cant do a whol lot. and she also thinks it is acceptable. she left hamurger out and the cats were eating out of it and i am pretty sure she still ate it. it is a mental thing. my foster mother was also diagnosed with bipolar but she is a clean freak, i guess it can go either way,depends on the person. i really wih i could help my mom but i can only talk till i am blue in the face . she just wont do it. she would rather wtch TV than try to clean. i know for sure it has been 2 years or longer since she had hot water, her lazy husband refuses to use the money to fix it. so i think she has had a complete shower 1 time since then. at a friends house before a funeral someone let her shower. but since then she hasnt had one. it is so sad, but there are so many people like this

If she is your friend, then try and teach her. Show up with a mop, a pale, some rags and cleaning supplies. Teach your friend how to clean. Know one may have taught her!

If it is as bad as you say and she won't correct her ways then file an anonymous complaint with the health department. If they rent, tell the land lord so that they will have to clean up.

there's a show in my country with people like her. 2 women go into some nasty homes like the one you described and clean them. it's shocking and incredibly gross. anyway, i think that the girl was so used with all the mess that she finally started to believe it's ok. and if she was ok with eating that pie, than maybe she was ok with sharing it too.

a great pungent gabage can crammed with motherloads of barfs, poop, pee, farts, and stinkky diapers with smelled milk over 30000 years previous and this merchandise getting used to smash a guy's date with freakin motherloads of ****!!!!!!!!!!!!! the guy smelled like poop for each week. it is the main disgusting component i could ever observed.

my mothers best friends house is vile and disgusting you can smell it before you get there

whats ur point? its normal, she aint died from the dirt yet, or has she?? offer to clean her house for her and watch her go ballistic
