No. McCain didn't know that she had leaned on departments for things to be done, like firing her ex-brother-in-law. He didn't know her daughter was with child. He didn't know most of the dirt the AP has dug up on her. He chose Palin because she's a working mother and he felt she was likely to win respect. Looks like he was wrong, but still.

And I'm not usually a huge McCain supporter, so this is the total and unbiased truth.

i am slightly insulted.. she does not have enough experience. and the only reason she was picked was to get female votes. and if mccain dies do u really want this lady running the country.? lets be serious here!

Yes and no. It's difficult because we feel flattered that he picked a woman but at the same time we feel a little like he's trying to bribe us.
