How to delete your Yahoo! Answers account: There are 2 ways to delete your Yahoo! Answers account.

1) Stop going on here for 4 months and it will be deactivated. also, before doing that, you need to:

-Make your Q&As and Network private

-Disallow fans

-remove ALL of your contacts.

-Disable your emails and IM

-Remove your nickname

-Put No Picture as your picture on here.

-Remove EVERYTHING on the 'About Me' Section

2) If you want to delete your Yahoo! Answers profile, you have to delete your WHOLE account on here. click on this link to see the instructions to do so, remember read it CAREFULLY because once you delete your account, you can not get it back.

before you do that, do these things to your profile:

The only way to delete your Y!A account is to delete your Yahoo account (email, etc)

Your questions & answers will remain in the YA archives though.

You can however set up your profile to make your Q&A private, and to not allow email & IM. You can delete any open questions & answers, but all resolved questions & answers are the property of Y!A. Then you just stop coming here.

You can't delete just the Answers part. The only way that part gets deleted is if Yahoo suspends it because you got reported too many times, etc. I think you need to abandon it for 4 months and it will automatically delete.

You can close your account completely and start a new one.

Edit: You need to go to My Profile, and then to edit my profile. Then check mark the boxes that say Hide my questions and answers. This way people can't click on you and see what you've answered and the questions you've posted.

if you delete your whole account you will nolonger have access to E-mail/Pictures/answer..
