If you want to develop native Android apps, Java is your best solution. You can also create Java applications on Windows. However, while there's nothing wrong with Java (or C++), both have a steep learning curve and you may give up before getting anywhere. I'd suggest an interpreted language first; something such as JavaScript, BASIC, Python or Ruby will help you learn the basics.

Get involved in Web and desktop applications programming. try to learn all the essential basics INCLUDING how to launch a website onto IIS and writing installer packages, etc.

.NET is a framework remember, not a programming language. Which managed language are you using to develop your .NET application?
C#? VB.NET?
