You're right, Mr. President. Smith won that race. I'm so disgusted I can't see straight.

Don't get me wrong - I like Smoke. But NASCAR needs to stop using their Etch-A-Sketch for a rule book. : (

Rules are Rules. Just like it was OK and then some for Jr to pass the Pace Car for his win @ Michigan.

If Tony thought Regan was still a threat after he went under the yellow line, he wouldn't have let him get ahead of him. Of that, I am sure.

Any other driver and this wouldn't even be an issue.

I just wish he would have won it in his Home Depot 20

That's the benefits of a #2 pencil. They can change the rules anytime they want to. But I had never heard the rule before. It just seems like every day it's a new rule the just pops up out of nowhere.

    Congrats Tony Stewart fans

Ragan won it though. Stewart was blocking and forced Ragan down below the line. The replay shows Ragan had his front fender beside Tony Stewart's rear quarter panel.

That was a load of ******* BS. During the truck race yesterday the announcers clearly stated that you are allowed to go below the yellow line on the last lap or if you are forced down there. Smith had both of those. But once again Nascar screws another driver out of a victory.... Good job to Regan, he gave it everything he had...

Usually, you could go under the yellow line, but couldn't pass unless you were forced down there. Also, the yellow line would be disregarded on the last lap in turn 4 and the tri-oval.

But this race, they said that you couldn't put the full width of a tire under the line. They also said that if you were forced down there, you had to fill a gap, even if it was behind you. If there wasn't one, you had to maintain your position.

But what Regan did that was illegal, from my point of view, was to really use up the apron. If he had been right next to Stewart, he had a point, but he left a good gap of 2 or 3 feet. So NASCAR can say that he was forced down, but willfully used the apron to pass.

I dont know what the rule is for the last lap, I actually think that it was Tony that won. Because of the rule that you arent allowed to pass under the yellow line. Tony let him back up onto the track and Regan should have gone behind Tony, but he didnt.

Agreed. To me it also looked like Smith just barely got back on track before passing Stewart so NASCAR's point was moot. Congrats to Regan Smith on his first career win even if it's not in the record books.

  • Regan Smith soooooooo won that race and yes the rule is on the last lap you get forced below the yellow line and advance your position you get to keep that position. But hey this is a NASCAR rule and we all know that it depends on the day, month, what the weather is doing as to what drivers the rule applies to. NASCAR you messed up bad today, very disappointed.

Yes, Regan Smith won the race! Damn it NASCAR, why do you always have to ruin the finishes. Regan got forced below the line and won. Plain and simple. The idiots who make up these rules might as well shoot themselves. Let the men race.

I hope they declare Smith the winner...

I picked Smoke to win in my fantasy pool, But I think Nascar needs to review this, Smoke forced Smith down there... I'm still having a Carl Edwards meltdown here, I'm ready to hire the AFLAC duck to go chew something off Carl Edwards for the mess he caused today.. I agree, Regan Smith should have won, but I think this needs to be reviewed unless JGR paid the officials off...
