Should I do an aquarium/fish home learning course?
Ok so I work in an office which is nothing special but it pays well and I finish at 4 every day so that's a bonus. I'm doing a home learning beauty therapy course - i don't think I'll get a job at the end of it because there's nothing in my area but I find the course interesting and I could always work from home if I wanted to go in this direction.
I am now thinking about doing a home learning course in aquarium's and fish. It basically teaches you about breeding, keeping them in good health, how big an aquarium needs to be, how to build your own and so on. I am really interested in sea life and love going to aquarium's and sea centre's but again there are no aquarium's in my area so I probably wouldn't get a job at the end of it - so is there any point in me doing the course? I was thinking I could always keep the job I've got and breed fish at home and sell them or something??

Since you've already invested in one career that might not work out, I would suggest doing a lot of research before starting another one. If you're interested in fish, educate yourself as a hobbyist. Read aquatic books from the library and build a home aquarium (salt water would be a more challenging test). You'll get a better idea for the amount of labor and financial investment needed. Talk to pet stores in your area about where they get their fish. You might find they are buying from importers and wholesalers who are difficult, if not impossible, to compete with.

If you're truly interested in the profession, the best bet is to work for someone else already established in the business. That way you can learn on-the-job, and make your mistakes with someone else's money.
Good luck making a decision!
