80th birthday merger with 6th birthday?

I´m having my son´s 6th birthday party in january but my grandmothers 80th is also comming up the same month.. so I want to have the party for both of them on the same day..

The only detail is that... the party is going to be a Pirate theme... How can I make the 80th celebration to be part of the theme...

I already have a lot of stuff for the Pirate theme.. so I can´t change the theme.. Need lots of ideas... Please and Thank You...!!!

Update:

The party is going to be for over a 100 (close to 150) people, it´s going to be the same guests anyway.. so i´m having it the same day..

I just need ideas to merge the party.. that´s where i´m stuck at the moment.. I´m thinking half way into the party to announce the birthday girl, by bringing out the balloons and music and switch gears into the 80th celebration...

But i´m still not convinced.. help..!!!

My dad is 91 and we did something like this and it was just to much for him..

I don't think an 80 year old would necessarily enjoy being in the middle of pirate chaos. Give your grandmother a lovely grown up party for her 80th, which is a milestone that deserves all of the attention!

To be honest, you should NOT combine the two. Have separate parties. Your 80 year old Gma deserves and party all to her own. The six year old will not understand the significance of such a day. Besides, how would you incorporate a pirate theme with an 80 year old woman?

i don't think you should do it on the same day tbh, think about it a bunch of happy excited 6 year olds running about a bunch of elderly people! sorry no offence

    I agree with the above.
