  • is this attachment disorder?

As a child my mother showed no affection and it was disapproved to be affectionate to her. My marriage failed and i was not able to keep a relationship going when i grew older. I have 3 kids all grown up, and i do all i can to help them etc and my grand kids and i make sure to always be affectionate and open to a cuddle etc, but inside i don't feel anything. They will always say to me, I love you and i will say the same back, but the truth is inside i don't feel anything. If something happened to my kids and grandkids i'd always be the first there to give support,. Is this attachment disorder, have i switched off somehow as a child. I do remember wanting cuddles and comfort but knowing that i wouldn't get them as a child. Thank you all

  • taking zoloft for 12 years?

I have been taking zoloft for over 12 years for depression. In that time i have lost 8 teeth through grinding them at night and have doubled my weight while taking this drug. I am now a size 20. I am also experiencing some memory loss The last twelve years have been the happiest of my life, I am now 49. I am trying to sum up the courage to have a try at life again without the zoloft, or should i just not worry about the weight etc

and stay on it. What do you think?

  • Be honest. How many people really do enjoy christmas?

Do you find it phony, all about money, giving presents cause someone has given you one, pretending to be happy when your not, dreading another year ahead. Family fights etc. just curious

  • how do i get my car unbogged?

36 degrees and somehow i manage to get my car bogged in a soggy grass ditch. I tried reversing slowly and got no where and the same forward. Only made it worse. I've tried dried branches and some rough wood but the wheels just kept spinning. It's almost midnight and the barstard is still stuck in the mud. thanks

  • What determines a plant to be a weed?

I moved interstate, and laughed when the people here were planting and selling plants that we considered back in my home state to be weeds. So what makes a weed a weed and who decides what is a weed and what is not?

  • Do we really need to bath/shower every day?

My dad is 91 years old and my mother 88 and i asked them about this. And they said that until recent years, people only washed their hands face, feet at night and bathed once a week. Okay i know you are going to say, stink etc, but be realistic, do we really need to bath everyday, do you, or is it just something that has become a recent custom. In the old days they had only two meals a day, it wasn't until early 1900's that people had three meals a day.

  • My dog is still farting and don't know what to do next.?

I have a 5 month old red cattle dog pup..i have tried everything that everyone suggested on here 2 months ago. changing diet, exercise (more), been to the vet and she said maybe she is gobbling her food to fast so i have been giving her frequent small meals a day. Its to the point where she is being evicted from every room in the house and we all know where she is cause we can hear and smell her coming. its embarrassing when people come over and she does it,.. they give me a peculiar look and some don't believe its the dog and say "Oh yeah, sure its the dog". Anyone got any new advice that i can try, i don't want to get rid of her as she was a abandoned pup, though i have my suspicions now as to why she was abandoned.. thanks

  • Why do Americans have such an obsession with the color of someone's skin?

The whites of America have to remember that their ancestors took the ancestors of the African American's, not only from their homes and family, but their country and heritage also. Then they brought them to the States and made them cut their cane and pick their cotton from sun up to sun down and even bred them like animals. They were forced to live in dirty cabins, given only the basics of food and clothing etc. By bringing them to the States you made them American citizens and they have every right to enjoy that citizenship and its privileges , after all your ancestors took everything else from them. And as for the African American's its time to try to forgive, and i don't say forget, but rather try to make America a even better country for all , black and white..
