how do i get my car unbogged?
36 degrees and somehow i manage to get my car bogged in a soggy grass ditch. I tried reversing slowly and got no where and the same forward. Only made it worse. I've tried dried branches and some rough wood but the wheels just kept spinning. It's almost midnight and the barstard is still stuck in the mud. thanks
thanks everyone. will go put all your advice into practise.

This happened to me a few months ago!!
Find some good sized rocks, and as many of them as you can.
Jack the car up (with the jack on a rock if there is no solid ground - be wary as the jack can slip!!! so keep your hands etc away from under the car/wheel until you are sure it won't drop down or slide out) once the driving wheel is in the air, pack some rocks under the tyre, in front of the tyre, and behind the tyre. Make sure they are well located and won't slip about too much.
Drop the car down again so the wheel is sitting nicely on the rocks. Move the jack,
Get in, start it up, put it into SECOND gear, and use high revs and good clutch control to drive it out again. Once you can feel its moving, if you get off the rocks and the wheel starts to spin dont let off the accelerator, keep going until you are clear.

take a jack and lift up each tire and put a 2x4 or 2x4 boad under the tires that will get you out

Flag down a nice person with a tractor, 4x4, or truck & ask them to help pull you out!
