What is wrong with this question? ANd why don't appeals to Yahoo! answers work?
Why does Yahoo! Answers object to every simple question? What is wrong with the people that use Yahoo! Answers? Are they so stuck on themselves and objectionable that something as simple as a question bothers them? If questions like these bother people it makes me wonder: What a group of ....... live in America and no wonder the world hates America. The people here really do act like jerks.
Hi Foxx Mulder to you,
The question you asked on Yahoo! Answers was reported by the Answers community:
"Did anyone notice that McCain looked like an old lamp at a garage sale? tired, worn, and ready for the dump?"
This question has been removed. You may not have realized this, but all questions submitted on Yahoo! Answers must comply with the Answers Community Guidelines.
If you believe that your question does not violate the Answers Community Guidelines, and would like to appeal the removal of your question, you can have your case reviewed by Answers Customer Care. You have 7 days to submit your appeal.

Because it was funny, on the spot and aimed at a neocon!!
It means you're a success!! Revel in your deletions. Be proud of them. I keep mine in a special folder!! LMFAO!!
And keep a back-up account........just in case they actually suspend you like they did me and I had to start from scratch...which sucks big time!!

Yahoo employees are either the dumbest or laziest people on the planet because they rarely read the questions or answers that they violate. If you appeal, they're supposed to do so but 99% of the time you get an automated email saying the content was reviewed and, yes, indeed, you violated the rules BUT YOU CAN TELL THEY DIDN'T READ IT or, if they did read the appeal, they're the dumbest people on the planet because the content did not violate their precious rules.
Even with their rules written so vaguely and broadly that you can drive a bus through them, anyone with a brain should be able to spot some of the stuff is purely bogus and an attempt by stalkers to harass us.
Ah, well, now youi know why I call this YaHELL.

Yeah, I have appealed several bogus violations - always the same initial response from them - automated! Sometimes it helps to appeal a second time - sometimes an actual person will check into it if there is a second appeal....sorry for your luck! I find that the guidelines are so vague that really if they wanted to they could just shut down Y/A because every question can be found in violation - lol - but sometimes a second appeal helps. You can even try to post a message in the forum section (where actual Y/A employees can be found to check into questions and complaints)...good luck...It's a long drawn out process and I find that a lot of times it just isn't worth all the trouble to appeal a 2nd time....

Here's what's wrong with your question: You made a question into a statement to get others to agree with your viewpoints instead of it being knowledge-worthy. To put it another way, it's construed as ranting. That's how you incurred a "not a question or an answer" violation. I strongly suggest you be more careful with how you word your questions on this site because there's already a lot of touchy people here. They can report you like that.
Here's what the Y!A Team has to say about the very violation you've incurred, as explained in great detail:
What does it mean when you say we have to follow the question-and-answer format?
We ask that community members follow the question-and-answer format because Yahoo! Answers is a question-and-answer community. This means when you post a question, it must be written in the form of a question. When you post an answer, it must attempt to answer the question being asked.
-It is possible that a question could be considered a “rant”, even if it is formatted correctly. Avoid posting questions that are more about declaring your opinions than seeking knowledge.
- How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

What is wrong with the question is that it truly is not a question, sorry. It is a stated opinion and a request for people to agree with you. Read the blog about 'When is a question not a question?' here:
http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-d8pH0dcoRKeB12yOcnU...
to understand the differences between what you asked and a real question.
As for appealing, yes, it works. But you have to actually be right for it to work. I've successfully appealed, and so have many others on the site. As of about 6 days ago, the appeals process was streamlined to having only ONE appeal, which can be reviewed multiple times before a decision is made, according to this suggestion posted at the Forum:

You have to understand that the goal of Yahoo!, Inc. is to limit central oversight and as such, they employ deliberately vague language which allows them the option to simply deny appeals based on nothing other than a server issuing a denial of appeal. You should do your best to understand that Yahoo is moderated primarily by a Dell Server (not human beings).
