Greg Jennings or Santonio Holmes?
Who would you rather have on your football team. Who is better overall?
Not counting fantasy, I'm basing this on skill

Greg Jennings is definitely better than Santonio. As a Steelers fan, it hurts me to say that...but I'm a football fan first. Santonio has put on some muscle during the off season but he still doesn't have those yards after initial contact like Jennings. They are both very good, but Jenning's gets the edge at this point in their respective careers.

Well let me try to be one of the few people to answer the actual question. Who's the better of the two, discounting fantasy results and current team tendencies? Ok, both were drafted very high by any standards and not too far apart meaning that even team scouts thought they both had the tools. Santonio goes 1 up on run blocking, an asset he has recently learned which compared to Greg, the later is a reluctant blocker. I'd think that Santonio has far more fumbles compared to Greg, so 1-1. Both of them fight well for the ball after a defensive take away, 2-2. Although Santonio has returned more punts, he also has a better return average, so 3-2 to Santonio. Being used as a rusher also means that one can give the offense better options, Greg has never been used as a rusher so Santonio adds to his lead, 4-2. In the yards per game stats, the difference is 6 yards in favour of Greg, so lets give him that one even if he's received more passes, we can also say that he has a better ability to get open, 4-3. I think when your QB can throw to you on first downs as a number two guy it means a lot and Santonio fares better there 96 vs 85, 5-3. Finally Santonio +17 yards per reception vs Greg's +16, 6-3 to Santonio. More skills and better value to the team.

They have both came out at the same time and so far Jennings has better numbers and Green Bay throws the ball more so I'd go with Jennings because even when Holmes takes Hines Ward's spot as #1 WR on the Steelers, they are still more of a run first team.

Greg Jennings has better hands than Holmes and their speed is about even. Jennings is leading all WRs in yards so far this season and it's only his third season in the league. So I would rather have Jennings on my team.

Based on the situation I would take Jennings reluctantly, he is on a passing team where as the Steelers are a running team. The coaching is much better in Steeler town and Holmes will enjoy more success in his career because of that, more playoffs and more rings.

Greg Jennings is my candidate. He is a proven big play maker. Holmes has no real excuse. He has a decent QB to throw to him. Sometimes its not always what you can do on the field, but more of what you can do to get thrown to on the field.
These days you have to do more than catch balls, you have to network your way to the top.. after all you can't catch a ball that isn't thrown your way.

Overall, I would go with Jennings as Holmes has been lackluster until just recently. That Steelers O-line is being decimated and with Willie Parker back soon they might go back to running the ball consistently.

Jennings. With the Steelers having offensive line problems, their passing game is a bit shotty.
