Help! The Neighbors are bringing their Dogs to Poop in My Yard?

Living on a corner lot, we have a section at the road on the side of our house we have recently planted trees, plants, and mulched in part of that section. We also have some grass to mow there.

For some reason, our neighbors have declared that spot the poop spot of the neighborhood for their dogs. We have 2 different neighbors that walk their dogs over to that part of the yard in order to let them do their business. Both of these neighbors walk completely across the street for this several times a day, one neighbor is even 4 houses down the street and walks to the end of the road.

Another neighbor lets his dog out every once in a while to run around in the flowers because the dog "wants to see our dog" as he says.

I know they love their dogs, I do too, but that doesn't give me the right to make a toilet out of someone else's flower garden. I don't take my dog to anyone else's yard.

My question is what do I do? I do not want to have the entire neighborhood angry, and cause them to be more of a problem. I know it is the side of the yard, but it is still mine, and that side is no different than anyone else's. I still have to mow the lawn and pull weeds and trim flowers, and I'm getting very tired of walking through poop.

These are NOT understanding neighbors. I don't feel that I could just explain this to them......How do I stop this without a fight?

You might want to have a friendly chat with your neighbor and request that they not let there dogs poop in your yard. Greet your neighbor, compliment the dog, then say something like, “I’m trying to keep my lawn in better condition, and I’m training my own dogs not to go on the front lawn. If you could keep your dog from going on my lawn, it would be a big help.”

Of course, the coward’s way out is to leave an annonymous note at the neighbor’s house stating that dog owners are expected to clean up after their pets. It’s brutal, but it works.

At least she's opting for up the poop and no longer leaving in there. However, it is common courtesy to not will let you dog poop in other peoples yards, mainly when there are different communal grassy areas. If the HOA won't allow a border or fence, can you communicate with them about this dilemma? Possibly on the next meeting they may be able to make a brand new rule that puppies can't be walked on others property (I suppose this is referred to as Trespassing, is it not?) She must also be making a choice on up her trash she leaves behind. Some individuals fairly lack original sense and suitable etiquette.

a minimum of she's choosing up the poop and not leaving in there. yet, it relatively is easy courtesy to no longer show you how to canines poop in different peoples yards, extremely while there are different communal grassy aspects. If the HOA won't enable a border or fence, are you able to talk with them approximately this concern? in step with probability on the subsequent assembly they are able to make a sparkling rule that canines can not be walked on others property (i've got self belief it relatively is noted as Trespassing, is it no longer?) She additionally must be choosing up her trash she leaves at the back of. some human beings relatively lack elementary experience and correct etiquette.

You could put up signs at the end along the road that say "pick up after your dog" or "if your dog poops please scoop" to give them a "clue" that you're not happy with their dogs poop on your yard. There has to be some city ordinance that requires that owners pick up after their dogs. I have attached a website that sells these signs to post in your yard.

    Good luck

I don't know about the fight part, but I would flat out tell them not to let their dog crap in my yard unless they are going to clean it up. If they continue after that, I'd take a shovel and scoop the poop and take it to their yard!

  • I would put up a decorative fence just high enough to keep the friggen dogs off the lawn.

If you see anyone's dog leave poop on your lawn, despite you asking them nicely not to, put it in a plastic bag and leave it on their door step. If they persist, next time omit the bag.

Put a note through their door, calmly asking them to stop. If they don't, say it in person. Seriously, pooping in someone else's yard should be againgst the law. Hey! You could pretend to them that! Say, if you stop, i'll inform the police.

We had this problem at our camp site. The people across the road were bringing their poodles over to my side of the road to an empty lot right beside ours and not picking it up, which is one of the rules.I mentioned this to the owners because I didn't want my dogs to be blamed for it. She simply went out and bought the little baggies, took them to them and told them to use them, please. This actually worked and no one got angry.Might work for you too.Hope it does.

Nicely pick up the poop in a bag and place it back where it belongs, in their own yard. If they have a problem or confront you let them know you were only giving them back their property

Say"Unless you have a bag to Clean up after your pet Don't come in do I ever do that to your yard"+At those stores where they fix stuff buy a *Clean after your dog*. Hope I helped!
