Considering the economy, would it not be a good idea for...?

AIG and these banks to stop advertising on TV and save even more millions? Good idea? Makes sense to me.

    Yes. You are right. TV advertising is absurdly expensive... the model of tv advertising is a great deal of what's wrong with our economy.

    A TV ad costs millions to make and millions to air, but the money is part of the big wasteful corporate daisy chain. Useless useless useless.

    Yes you are absolutely right.Advertisements are expensive and money can be saved by not advertising.

    Other small expenses can also be avoided and if not 100% then the economy can atleast manage to save 60-65% of the money which would make a huge difference to the current state of economy.

    Those ads don't cost that much compared to the size of the crisis. They should do whatever is best for business and rebuilding their brand image might be an important part of that.
