how can i find my document?

i had a friend email me the homework questions and when i opened them i needed to install the compatibility pack for the 2007 office system. i worked on the file and i believe that i saved it but now it is no where to be found. i have done simple searches and looked in my temporary docs

If you opend it in outlook and saved fromt he attachment directly it is somewhere in the temp folder like this:

    XP:

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\xxxxxxxx

Go try to download something else off the internet. When you go to save the file look to see where the default download folder is your file should be there!
