Road trip to New england?
We are planning a last muinte road trip .we will be traveling from montreal canada to New England ..we are flexible as where to go .the travel dates are oct 16- oct 21 .Please recommend places/states to see the best fall color at that time,scenic drives,must do activities.We are confused ..please help.

Oh how wonderful, i have a great place for you and many people from canada visit this spot to see the foliage/ beautiful roads lakes and inns. The kangamangus highway through the state of New Hampshire's white mountain region is gorgeous. One of the best highway views on the east coast. I was there about a month ago and it is lovely. If you are looking for a place to stay please consider the Merrill Farm Resort, it is a country feel with great prices and good people. We had a romantic weekend there, but there are many families also. I trust trip advisor and used them to plan our trip to the white mountains, i highly suggest it. The north conway area is quaint and has a lot of little shops and taverns.
