You can drive a Reliant on a full motor cycle license.

There are a couple of people talking about the reverse gear as a myth.

It isn`t, although it does not apply today.

In the 1950`s Reliants had to have the reverse gear blocked off to comply with the "no reverse gear" rules for driving a 3 wheeler on a bike license.

Some manufacturers got round this by having the option to reverse start the engine and the car would have 3 speeds backwards!

Either a full Category B (car) licence or a full category A (motorcycle) licence.

I drove one on a full motorbike licence. Lethal in the wind and going around corners, cheap on petrol though.

The reverse bit is an urban myth, I checked it out with the police and they laughed.
