Personally, I love Tchaichovsky. I love the feel and emotion of the Russian music versus the more romantic southern european music. My favorite piece though, would have to be by Dvorak. The New World Symphony, by Dvorak is honestly one of the most brilliant and mesmerizing pieces i've ever had the pleasure of hearing.

Beethoven: Quasi Una Fantasia; 5/7th Symphony; Missa solemnis in D Major

Bach: Concerto for four harpsichords (allegretto) BWV 1620; Ich Habe Ganug; Goldenburg Variations/Aria De Capo; Prelude and Fugues.

Mozart: Don Giovanni, Commandatore scene; Queen of the Night II; Requiem Mass in D Minor K.626; The Great Mass in C K.427

    Allegri: Miserere Mei Deus

    Albinoni: Adagio in G

    Mendelsohn: A midsummer nights dream

And many others, but those are my absolute favorites. Classical is the only music one of taste could experience, ah- alas- that is just me.

Me too especially when it comes to dramatic pieces.

    Here are 6 great ones:

Pyotr Tchaikovsky - Symphony No.6 in B.minor known as the 'Pathetique' &

'Francesca Da Rimini' (a symphonic tone poem based on Dante).

    Gustav Mahler - Symphony No.9 in D.

Franz Schubert - Symphony No.8 in B minor (known as the

    'unfinished')

Richard Wagner - Prelude and Liebestod (an orchestral excerpt from his opera 'Tristan und Isolde')

I've recently discovered Richard Strauss's 'Metamorphosen'(a comosition for 23 strings) it is just sublime and has shot straight up there with my all time favourites.
