CPS: Hello I have a serious problem within my family.?

.Hello I have a serious problem within my family. And i need advice

Here we go.

My family had planned to call CPS on one of my other family members. one of the children who is 3 years old was punched in the face by her parent. Well, someone this week in my family called CPS and they contacted my family member (brother) he said he would come down and take the children with him away from their mother. But no one in the family believes him. He is going to take the abusive grandmother and mother along with the children with him. The abuse i know is going to contiue. My question is should i call CPS now, b/c he is coming to get them today or this weekend

Will the kids be given to family members (i hope so) please help!!!!

Chances are that the kids won't be giving to any family members at first, they pretty much decide at that point who can best care for that child which of course it's the state. Another thing, CPS doesn't act how you want them to, if you involve them, they act on their own reasoning and they make all decisions for the child after the child is taken into custody. CPS response time sucks too. They have to investigate a lot of different circumstances before they take children, and the child has to show that he or she has been abused physically. Many people use CPS as a crutch to get back at others in a vindictive kind of way so they act slowly so they can make sure it's not just allegations from a pissed off family member or friend. It's obvious that this child needs better, I think we all know that, but who's better? The guy on the phone from CPS shouldn't have said anything about who he's going to take away, in order not to alert someone to take a long vacation. They aren't allowed to give any information to anyone, even the parents involved because of that reason, so unless this already happened, don't trust this guys opinion or follow through. This child will be taken away only when there is strong physical abuse signs such as malnutrition or bruising, which sucks because kids heal rather quickly and are normally scared or don't know any better. CPS only realizes how bad it is until the child is hospitalized or killed.

If you know for a fact that the woman punched a 3yr old in the face, you have an obligation to call CPS before your brother gets there.

Tell them that they are planning on leaving, so it is of the utmost urgency that they send a social worker out to investigate.

    Best wishes

you know for your sake i hope your cps is better then ours. 3 people including myself called cps on my brother in law and still no one actually did anything. I mean he does coke and the woman said someone accused him of doing coke and his repsonse. "coke is a rich mans drug" and that was it. I also told them that he had drugged his daughter with robbitussuin so he could go out and get drunk and they still didnt do anything. My guess is call, you have to stay on their *** or they wont do anything
