Pinworm Treatment during pregnancy?
My son had the little creepy crawlers and now I think there is no way I can't have them. I read eating raw foods helps and getting your intestinal tract in the right state but HELP! I don't know where to start. My son took the medicine and has another dose soon but I can't take it since I'm pregnant. I'd like to treat naturally and somewhat quickly. They gross me out!
By raw food i meant lots of fruits and veggies, nuts and garlic... not raw meat!!

wait until after you have the baby. the pesticide you take to get rid of them will cause the baby more harm than the worms (which will not effect the baby) will. I don't know of any natural ways to treat them sorry.
edit... somehow i missed the raw meats part.. that's one source of where they come from it has nothing to do with getting rid of them. OOO i'm sorry!! Okay i've never heard of that working either but at least that's healthy! Maybe just tell you ob the situation at your next appointment and see what he/she recommends.

Garlic is the best! It's safe to take during pregnancy, and as an added boost, helps keep blood pressure down!
I had the same nasty little problem a while back, and I attacked it with garlic from both ends. I used a garlic clove suppository while I slept. (comes out easily the next morning), and in the mornings, I took another fresh clove and cut it into little pieces. (I thought of them as my garlic "pills"). Then I swallowed the garlic bits one by one with a glass of water, so that I wouldn't have to chew them. (you must use FRESH garlic, not garlic tablets or oil)
Pinworm eggs hatch after two weeks. If I were you, I'd repeat the garlic process every two weeks for awhile, to be on the safe side.
You'll smell very strongly of garlic on the days you take it, but since it's used for so many medicinal purposes, you can tell people you're taking it to combat a head cold, or blood pressure, or just about anything!

One more day & night won't cause the baby any harm. Worms are sometimes a little stubborn to go, the doctor will probably be able to give you something whether it's a pill or a home rememdy, the whole family wil have to be treated and i reccommend a full and thorough carpet clean incase where dog sits eggs have been left, chuk his bed in the wash, bed linen, towels, rugs, blankets, soft toys al have to go in too on a high temp.

um first of, raw foods DO NOT help they make it worse and besides, youre really not supposed to eat anything raw or even undercooked AT ALL while pregnant bc of the risk of listeria other food poisonings and parasites...try eating hot spicy foods. I know, sounds crazy, but the hot spices in them actually make your stomach an unfriendly atmosphere for parasites to thrive in, so they basically die from it. dont believe me ask a doctor. but try that. and oh they may give you heartburn so just have some tums around lol.
