Why did QUARANTINE give the ending away in the ads?

I hate it when people give away the ending. That great shot in the trailer is the last shot in the movie. Tell me if you don't think the advertisers overstepped a boundary here just to get butts in seats. Sure they get a bigger opening weekend. But they also get a lot of ticked off audience members.

And I am NOT giving away anything myself that you don't see in the trailers they are bombarding us with right now.

They gave it away because it was such an awesome scene. They wanted to draw the crowd. But I saw REC first and when I saw the trailer for Quarantine I just started laughing because they just ruin it completely.

well they didn't really give away the ending to it. There's a trailer that they have with footage that wasn't even in the movie so my guess is that they have a secret ending that they didn't show. Go to youtube and search "Quarantine Trailer 1" They have footage at the beginning of the trailer that wasn't in the movie it all. The movie was amazing and sorry but i think it was better than REC. If you search around about it they give you information that tells you that she gets out at the end or something like that. I don't know, so far none of the rumors are true but there IS a trailer with ACTUAL FOOTAGE that wasn't in the movie at all.

You're right. Anyone who has seen Quarantine is laughing right now because they give away the whole movie in the trailer. Its hilarious what people will do to make money.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. Unless there's some jerk at the theater who spoils it to everybody waiting in line, nobody knows how it ends until they see it. Unless they saw [REC]

The Dowdle brothers wanted to show what they had compared to what [REC] didn't.
