I think we often get things we don't need because it's attached to bills that we want. And we reject things we do need because the riders and add ons are unacceptable. I suggest there would be less need for compromise if the bills were limited to a single issue. Let them pass or fail on their own merits. Not because there is something added that has nothing to do with the proposal.

Here is a petition to the government proposing exactly this. I think it is a simple idea that could make a positive change.

I ran across them in a collection of short stories all by this one author and I can't remember who it was. There were three stories about this guy and I remember that in one, he makes a filling for an intelligent whale like creature (while standing in its mouth). Would love to know who that was.

Every time somebody questions one of the more barbaric portions of the Bible, the faithful come back with, "that's the Old Testament, Jesus changed all that." I would like to know where in the Bible does Jesus tell us we can ignore the Old Testament.

I am currently doing preproduction on a movie and we would like to use a Grumman Albatross seaplane. It would also be extremely helpful to have some plans or blueprints or a model of any kind also.

I hate it when people give away the ending. That great shot in the trailer is the last shot in the movie. Tell me if you don't think the advertisers overstepped a boundary here just to get butts in seats. Sure they get a bigger opening weekend. But they also get a lot of ticked off audience members.

And I am NOT giving away anything myself that you don't see in the trailers they are bombarding us with right now.

It seems to me that the best crop from which to make ethanol is sugar cain. I know Hawaaii used to grow quite a bit of it but stopped. In the face of the drawbacks of trying to make ethanol from corn, why are we not growing all the cain we can in Hawaaii?

Each of those guys is an officer and that means fairly good pay. Why in our land of separation of church and state do we shell out tax dollars for chaplains in the millitary. That should be missionary work. But never mind all the active duty guys who may or may not be making a contribution (should be missionary). There must be thousands of these guys who are retired!
