Did Jesus ever negate the Old Testament?
Every time somebody questions one of the more barbaric portions of the Bible, the faithful come back with, "that's the Old Testament, Jesus changed all that." I would like to know where in the Bible does Jesus tell us we can ignore the Old Testament.

No Jesus did not. The difference between the Old and New Testament is exactly what you pointed out... barbarism. In the Old Testament we see a demonstration of the original human society... the barbaric original Jewish tribes. As history develops and we get into the Roman age, which is when Jesus was born, was the development of Western Civilization which falls away from the barbaric law of "Survival of the Fittest" and begins to introduce composure and compassion. Jesus exemplifies and exonerates these traits and creates a religion that is based on the Old Testament teachings that were present in Rome, but also includes the Compassion for others that has developed in humanity. I prefer using the Bible as a historic reference not a religious text. Ignoring all the God stuff as the superstitions of an outdated society it's fairly accurate.

The Apostles who spoke for Jesus often misquoted verses from the Old Testament scriptures. An example is : Psalm 34:20 in reference of Jesus bones not being broken at crucifixion.
If ones read John 19:31-36 the obvious question is. How can this be a fulfillment when Jesus was already dead before they were able to determine if he legs were broken or not.
Its a very controversial concept that Jesus of the gospels is described in the Old Testament. Orthodox Jews have valid evidence proving Jesus was not the foretold messiah due to the Apostle's misquotations, mistranslations and misapplications of the original Hebrew scriptures.

Just the corrupted parts. He did not negate the 10 Commandments for one example and he identified himself as fulfilling prophecy and John the Baptist as a reincarnted Elijah (that's corrupted too, Jesus was Elijah, John the Baptist might have been Elisha, but he was not Elijah). Anyway, there is lots more he did not negate either, including the prohibition on pork. That is a misunderstanding by Christians regarding something he said in response to a complaint by the Rabbis that his disciples had not washed their hands before eating. Rather than say, "if they get sick, I will heal them, haven't you been paying attention?" he took the opportunity to make a larger metaphorical spiritual point about a person's soul that had nothing to do with washing the hands except to say in a sense,"maybe God will protect them because they are good devout followers of God's laws." Science says that it takes 4 kilos of grain to produce 1 kilo of pork, but the ratio is less for other livestock animals humans consume. The 4 to 1 ratio on pork is unacceptably inefficient, it drives up the prices of grain and promotes human starvation as a result. I read on the Internet last year about people in Haiti who could not afford the food being sold at the stores and so were eating dirt cookies -- yes, literally made from dirt -- to survive. That is also unacceptable and pork is part of the problem. As transportation costs remain unstable (here comes the American summer gasoline price gouging again) and as climate change threatens crop production it is very important that grain does not go to biofuels or to hogs while humans are starving. It is unacceptable before God to allow this or to knowingly participate in it. So if you are pork eater or farmer and just read this, you know what you have to do. No marshmallows either, they have gelatin, a pork product. There is other tasty food, and there are other crops to grow that are needed for humans as climate change threatens crop failures.

jesus never changed the old testament the only laws that were abolished were the moasic law the law of moses, all the other laws are gods laws and they can never be changed.
as you know jesus was predicted in the old testement this is what it says about him
Isaiah 42:21-The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
and jesus said in Matthew 5:17-Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
and look at this other verse
Malachi 3:6-For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
it is been proven the law of god doesnt change only the law of moses.read the link below for more information
and the dietary law is gods law because if you read levitcus you will see god commanding the isrealits what to eat and what not to eat

The law of Moses was a perfect law given to imperfect people to show them they needed help to fulfill God would provide that help and when the Jews followed the law they were blessed and when they disobeyed they suffered. This was a God given law so Jesus would never have belittled it. Jesus was perfect and kept the law perfectly. This showed all creation see that it could be done. Adam could have obeyed just like Jesus did. When Jesus died he fulfilled the law so it was no longer needed. Now God had another purpose to let people know how He was going to return all mankind and this earth back to perfection. This is the work Jesus began when he was on earth and he is now leading that preaching work worldwide. There are many principle in the law that will better our way of life today. The law was fulfilled not discarded.

Christians condradict themselves. They follow some of the old testament that they think is vital to them. They'll follow some of the ten commandments, and then slap YHWH in the face by eating shellfish. Hypochristians is what they are.

I thought he nullified the kosher stuff, which is why Christians can eat pork and cheeseburgers etc.
