Baseball fans: Which team would you prefer to see in one of their previous cities? Why?
For example, the Braves in Milwaukee or Boston, the Athletics in Philly or KC, the Dodgers in Brooklyn, and so on.
For a sense of history? To make it easier to get to your favorite team's games? Any other reasons?
Any elaboration is great. Thanks all!
While you're at it, baseballphan162: Mays, Mantle, or Snider? (lol)
Most of these are great answers . . . and most of y'all agreed with me, lol. Baseball has lost its sense of history, probably a long time before most of us realized it, and the kids today won't ever know it had one.

Easily, the Dodgers back in Brooklyn. In 1949-1956, the Yankees played in the world series 7 out of 8 times. Five of those seven appearances were against the Dodgers. It was what every baseball fan looked forward to. It was terrible for baseball when the Dodgers moved to LA. With the NY Giants and the Red Sox as well, it seemed like it was everyone against the Yankees. If I could choose two teams, I would also bring back the New York Giants. There have been so many classic moments between the three teams in such a small period of time. The Shot Heard 'Round the World, Don Larson's perfect game, Johnny Podres pulling through for the Dodgers in 1955, the list just goes on and on. Nothing has ever been like this in baseball, and the only comparable thing to this in any sport is the Lakers and Celtics, but that is in basketball. Imagine all of the suspense. It would be so good for baseball if the Dodgers and Giants moved back to New York.
EDIT: Mantle, Mays, Snider. Mantle would have been even better if he hadn't stepped in a sewage pipe in the 1950 World Series. He had amazing power and a suprising amount of speed. He played on better teams, won more MVPs, and was a better player. Mays was luckier with injuries, didn't have as many big years, and his teams never had amazing success (except 1954). Snider hit the most home run of the 1950's and he was definitely something special, but after the '50s, he didn't do anything.

Bring back the Brooklyn Atlantics. Look em up. Baseballs first dynasty.
What if they re-aligned baseball regionally. Put the White Sox, Tigers, Brewers, Cubs and Cardinals in one Division? Red Sox, Phillies, Yankees, Mets and Pirates in another. Odd but interesting.
What if we moved Milwaukee back WHERE THEY BELONG in the AL and give the teams in the NL Central a fair schedule and stop giving the AL West an UNFAIR advantage.... So what if you play interleague all year.... nobody complains about that in the other sports.

Brooklyn Dodgers, hands down.
For one, I live in Brooklyn. But also, Brooklyn has never lost it's love of the Dodgers, and it's sadness that they are now gone. Even people like me who are too young to remember the Dodgers, and didn't even grow up here, miss the Dodgers!
It seems that people move here and three weeks later, they start mooning over the loss of the Dodgers!
Come home! All is forgiven!

the cubs back to Fairbanks, Alaska. I know they didn't originate there, but they are too pathetic to be anywhere near the city of Chicago.
