Voting for tiebreakers ?
Two questions really... is there a way to narrow your selection of tiebreakers to vote on by date - but more specifically than oldest to newest? (6-8 months ago, for instance)
Why is it that a question in the answer category will be labeled as two years old. Then, when you select that question to view the answers they are labeled as tiebreaker "1 year ago"?
Thanks, Redunicorn! That method works plenty good. I recently became inspired to vote more often and I also like the satisfaction of resolving tiebreaks. I often find myself voting for "no best answer" though. If the question asker, and the answerers didn't vote and there is no source given with an answer, I'm usually not impressed.
Thanks, Davina. I'm joining!

You can go in several screens. I generally click on page 7 of the oldest, then in the long URL at the top, the number in front of the ampersand is a 7. If the questions on page 7 are answered, I put a random number in front of the 7. Generally I put a 4 or 5 in front. Although sometimes I had to go even farther.
I have noticed that on the front screen of an answer, it will say a date like 4 months but after I vote it will say one smaller like 3 months. I think as soon as the question is over a year, it says 2 years. I have yet to see any question say 16 months or 18 months. So after I answer a 2 year old question, it will say it is 1 year old. Maybe one of the Yahoo Employees will answer this and give more information.
I have been voting on tie questions for a long time. I like to think I am brightening someone's day when they get ten points for a question they answered two years ago.

Sure. It's kind of hard to explain but I'll try.
First pick your category. For example, there's TONS of old questions needing to be resolved in the Singles & Dating category so you can click on that one if you wish. THEN look at the top of the list of questions and you'll see three (3) tabs: ANSWER, DISCOVER and VOTE.
Click the VOTE tab. Then, under the ANSWER & DISCOVER part, it says DATE:/NO. OF ANSWERS:
Click on DATE and it'll show you the oldest unresolved questions in that category.

i'm exceptionally positive it continues to be in tie breaking prestige until eventually there's a vote casted that breaks the tie. I have seen posters ask to vote for tie breakers to get them out of tie breaking prestige.
