First have You a male and female, how old are they?

I have heard of Fischers but not the Golden Cherry.variety.

If they are now laying in the box the hen will lay 3-8 eggs in a full clutch, before she broods (sits )them,it will then take up-to 21 days for them to hatch.

Try not to disturb them when they are sitting on the eggs if you want to see if the eggs are fertile wait till they are about 10,days,they will then look grey-white in colour, then you may be lucky and they will be fertile.

It all comes down to having a male and female, that are old enough to breed and not old.

i have bred lovebirds for a long time! i have a few tips for you

firstly are you aware if you cross bred between peachfaces, masks and fischers that you will only ever get a green bird with rose red cheeks and they will be a mule (which means they are infertile!)..

also, if you want to keep breeding them, supply them with a nestbox and also palm leaves or straw to help them build a nest, they are one of only a few select parrot species that build nests..

there are many reasons why she might not go into the nest, usually it is because their could be mice entering the nest, or spiders etc..

Hi Jonboy has snatched my word.

Really aki2895 and Derinda are one and the same person,or the have a remarkable way of picking word for word their answers. It is just copy paste theory.

Can we report abuse? But I dont do that. That amounts to violence. I am a follower of Mahatma Gandhi. I too have multiple accounts but I answer from only one.

My best advice is to come up off those dollars and purchase a good love bird book. To try to breed birds without even owning a book about the breed you have is arrogant.

if you really what them to make babies from that eggs then set them free from cage, let them have freedom and let them enjoy.

may be, they think that there babies should not face the same problem what they are facing.

and if you don't like them to set free then bread 2 more love birds with them, put some plants around them and keep some dry grass in the box. so that they should love to go in to the box to heat the eggs

Source(s): i had 2 and made them 32 by breeding them and 5 died i set them free and i think they are happy and me to thinking them i am happy.

THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR MOST BREEDERS, YOU NEED TO CHECK THAT THE BIRDS ARE MALE AND FEMALE, SECOND ARE THEY OF BREEDING AGE, THEY USUALLY SIT WHEN THEY HAVE ABOUT 2-3 EGGS, THEY ARE PROBABLY WAITING FOR THE THIRD TO SIT ON THEM

just love them.or do the right thing. make a nest on the tree for them and free them.
