AMD 64 BIT X2 Running windows 2000, and how much supported RAM?

Well I have an AMD 64 bit processer(X2) and 4GB of RAM. I am running on windows XP professional 64 bit.

I really liked windows 2000, for the extra performance it gives to your PC.

My question is how much RAM will 2000 support, and will it support these processors?

Thanks!

let me put it this way...

What extra performance are you talking about?

next you have windows pro 64, Why? when all the application software is running at 32 bit, it never makes sence

Windows 2000 is a 32 bit system, yes it will run on a 64 bit system but you may have problems with finding the 64 drivers for windows 2000,. as 2000 was never programed to run on a 64 bit processor at 64 bit. therefore it would fall back to running at 32 bit

now with a system like yours why don't you look into running Linux 64 bit systems and application software..

Linux is free to download and use on any computer with all the free software you will ever need.
