Are home-made french fries healthy if you use real potatoes?

Are home-made french fries healthy if you use real potatoes and olive oil and when you only use the oil once? I ask because I care a lot about health and logically, potatoes are a vegetable which seems healthy to me but I'm so used to considering them as unhealthy because of McDonalds' etc. So are home-made french fries healthy or not?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Actually they are even healthier if you lightly coat the potatoes with the oil, salt, and herbs, and then bake them in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. They taste better without that much oil, especially if you cut them a little thicker than standard.

stay faraway from "rapid nutrition" fries on the grounds that there acctrually fried. purchase baked fries/ potatoe wedges or greater valuable yet baked/ roasted yam wedges. Making you're very own might probable be the main suitable concept on the grounds which you recognize whats in them- what to put in them (mild on the salt, heavier on the spices/ herbs, mild olive oil, bake !) wish i'v helped, goodluck! - do not consume too could, look on the nutritional values on the equipment for serving sizes.

I would suggest baking them instead of frying them. They taste just as good, and are a LOT healthier than if you fry them.
