My husband and I are planning on buying a car GPS. Honestly everything on the websites confuse us. We are looking for a simple GPS that will tell us where to go when we need it. Nothing more complicated then that but we also want it to be dependable and simple..
It looks like Garmin sells well (according to best buy) while we have a freind who has tom-tom. What do you recommend and why?

The Garmin Nuvi 200 retails for around $150.00 and is hands down one of the best basic units out there. It does not come with the unnecessary features that the more costly models do. I took it on several out of state trips and it did excellent.
