Could running delay your period?

I recently just joined cross country, (when school started) and my period has always started on the 18th. but in september i didn't get it, and now its Oct. 12. I thought that maybe it would just be like a week late, cause i've lost about 10 pounds, but now it has almost been a whole month. should i be worried? or is it just from the running?

btw: we run about 5-7 miles everyday, except sunday. ( i dk if that means anything lol)

No.. running does not delay your period. It is perfectly normal to skip a month, some people don't get regular periods..

Actually, athletes frequently skip periods. It's normal and will not hurt you.
