Broken key in the ignition?

Someone has broken a key in my husband's ignition and he is out of country at this time. How do I fix this problem. I think maybe someone was trying to take the car. I have no idea. It's right at the edge but it's too stuck to just grip and pull out. I had an idea of using the "mighty putty" which is putty that hardens and has super strength. Well anyway if I was too stick it to key and let harden, would that be enough to grip broken key and pull out?? Or silly idea?

Hon, are you in the auto club? If not contact a locksmith, you could end up mucking up the whole ignition by putting anything glue like near it.

Call your mechanic. It may save you a lot of trouble. It shouldn't cost much to get it out.
