Walks forward by day- tide in the day
Walks backwards by night- tide in the night
Flies when it rains- when it rains, it flies through the skies
Crawls when it is dry- when water travels through a dry area, like on a car, it appears to crawl. crawling when it is dry.

Walks forward by day....tide coming in.
backwards by night....tide going out.
Flies when it rains....rain drops in the sky.
crawls when it's dry....(havn't worked that one out) :P
