Does Obama think he's fooling anyone when he "thanks" veterans for their service?

When Obama thanks veterans for their service at debates and speeches, it comes across as so phony and so superficial it's not even funny. He's a disgrace. McCain walks over, shakes their hand and pats them on the shoulder. He makes a real connection. Obama just points to them and mumbles uh yeah, thanks for your service of course.....so insincere it makes me puke. His little girls are safe because of our veterans. He should get a clue.

A thank you and handshake from another Vet is different than a handshake from a non-vet. Anywhere I go, Vets unite when we talk to eachother, and its a fraternity of borthers in arms that only those who serve understand. If John McCain shakes my hand and says thank you, knowing where his hands have been for this country(broken and beat) it would mean more than Obama smiling and thanking me for doing something(camera nearby of course) he didnt have the spine to and then allowing me to serve with half the funding.

What's phony about it? He thanks them for their service. He shakes hands, etc. What else is he supposed to do, a little dance?

McCain's only unique addition to the proceedings, according to you, is a pat on the shoulder. That's the caring gesture that distinguishes him from the evil, callous Obama. I had no idea that the shoulder, and only the shoulder, was the mysterious conservative erogenous zone that signals a true connection, but I'll keep it in mind for the future. Without that shoulder pat, all other acts are insincere! You heard it on Yahoo Answers first.

I'm sure he realizes that his girls are safe because of veterans. What's your point? He's never stated otherwise.

My husband is at war right now for the second time and we support Obama 100%. Do you think McCain really cares about you? Unless you make millions I think not.

So because someone shakes your hand and pats you on the shoulder they are sincere? I think you need to get a clue

You are clearly letting your political view point interfere with your ability to perceive Obama accurately. I come from a military family and we are all Obama supporters. A country that respects its troops doesn't send them to war under false pretenses.

No, but he's still gonna win. BOXMAN '08! XD

McCain dounds like he could be a great leader, but not the president. Obama isn't as experienced, though.

    Boxman is perfect.
